Boris Tampubolon is the Founder and Managing Partner of DNT Lawyers. He began his legal career after graduating from the Faculty of Law at Borobudur University, serving as an Assistant Public Defender at the Jakarta Legal Aid Institute (LBH Jakarta), which was founded by the renowned Indonesian lawyer Prof. Dr. Adnan Buyung Nasution.
He later continued his career as a defense attorney under the mentorship of prominent Indonesian lawyer Dr. Hotma Sitompoel, S.H., M.Hum., at his law firm. During this time, Boris also served as the Head of the Non-Litigation Division at a leading legal aid organization. Together with Mr. Hotma, Boris dedicated himself to providing legal assistance to underprivileged individuals who lacked access to legal representation. He offered pro bono legal services through the Mawar Saron Legal Aid Institute, founded by Mr. Hotma P.D. Sitompoel.
In addition to his extensive experience as a practicing attorney—handling numerous high-profile cases across various areas of litigation—Boris is also recognized as a prolific legal writer. He contributes to Hukumonline.com, Indonesia’s leading legal news and information platform, and is the founder and contributor of Konsultanhukum.web.id.
Boris has authored several legal books, including:

In recognition of his contributions to the legal field, Boris was honored with the Inspiring Professional and Leadership Award 2021 by Indonesia Award Magazine.
