Dr. Imam B. Prasodjo is a sociologist and public figure. He is currently a permanent lecturer at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at Universitas Indonesia.
Born in Purwokerto, Central Java, 15th February 1960, he has received his bachelor’s degree at the age of 26 from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Indonesia. Then his master’s degree at Kansas State University, Manhattan, United States, and graduated in 1990. While his doctorate from Brown University, Rhode Island, USA.
In his career, Imam Prasodjo is a member of the general election commission in terms of 1999-2004, and the Selection Committee for the Leadership of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) in 2011.
Currently, he works as a permanent lecturer at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at Universitas Indonesia. His name always appears to crucial events occurance.
The capability of Imam Prasodjo to solve problems is considered to be sufficient and independent. In early 2015, he was appointed by President Jokowi to be a member of the independent team to resolve the polemic between the National Police Headquarters and the KPK. Last, he was appointed by President Jokowi to be a senior advisor at the Presidential Office.
